About Us

Semiotic Labs uses artificial intelligence and cryptography to create new technologies and products in the blockchain industry. We build tools that help people use Ethereum more efficiently and make the most of their digital assets and transactions. Semiotic Labs partners with The Graph Foundation as a core developer and R&D team to drive better security, decentralization, and automation in The Graph protocol.

We are looking for a Backend Developer to participate in our R&D projects related to The Graph ecosystem. This position has growth potential and the ideal candidate is a self-starter and proactive in contributing to other projects and products.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design and implement new features for our products and components of The Graph protocol
  • Work closely with researchers, engineers, and partners from The Graph ecosystem to drive product design and development
  • Contribute to product discussions, processes, and strategic decisions

Position Type

  • Long-term contractor
  • 40 hours/week

Salary

  • $25–$40 USD per hour

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2+ years of software development experience
  • Ability to write high-performance, production-quality code (Python, Rust, Go)
  • Expertise in designing and implementing APIs (REST, JSON)
  • Experience in responsive microservices design and development
  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, Redis)
  • Experience in working with Linux and Docker
  • Experience using collaborative development best practices (Git, review processes, CI/CD pipelines)
  • English proficiency (written and spoken)

Nice to have

  • Drive to go deeper down the blockchain rabbit hole
  • Familiarity with blockchain technology and protocols like Ethereum
  • Exposure to cloud platforms like Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services
  • Experience in working with Kubernetes, Helm

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 48 months

Salary: $9,648,246.00 - $15,437,194.00 per year
